Some of them being lack of sleep, illness or fever, stress, too much consumption of alcohol, caffeine, medicines and drugs, insufficient intake of food like skipping meals. However, it is difficult for doctors to identify the key reasons as to why Epilepsy seizures occur as there may be more than just one reason.Epilepsy is a neurological disorder that may not be hereditary. Inheriting this condition from your parents is fairly low. Epilepsy can be caused due to stroke or brain injury. However, those with Epilepsy due to reasons other than stroke may have a two to five per cent chance of developing Epilepsy at a later stage.
